Startup Mentoring Intensives: Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Design

[Private Event, invitation only]

SIGN UP NOW - Startups need more help than they can imagine!  We believe that the best way to help is in focusing on the quality of the entrepreneurs' journey and our experience tells us that mentors play an important role here.

Startup Mentoring Intensives are organised mentoring sessions focused on topics. The SMI: Business Model Canvas uses the Business Model Canvas tool as the foundation for the organised mentoring session. We announced the launch of the SMIs here and the Intro session to the SMI was here.

Startup Mentoring Intensives (SMI) are designed to be short and intensive, working with experienced, vetted mentors and focusing on topics like Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Design, Investor Readiness, etc.  The goals are to greatly improve the quality of the founder’s impact by getting clarity on where they are and where they need to go while addressing their current challenges and the ones they don't know about yet.

Topic: Business Model Canvas Workshop

Since its creation, the Business Model Canvas has become the reference tool for startup implementation and strategic innovation, and it is one of the critical tools in the Lean Startup process. It is now used by many successful companies and taught in major universities and business schools. This visual tool helps you to describe, design, challenge, implement and evolve your business model.

In this intensive 2 hour 'organised mentoring' session, you will learn how companies and startups create, deliver and capture value and what you need to do to do the same. You will review examples of business models ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and you will also learn the rules and best practices to design and prototype your own business model.

These sessions are designed to be attended as often as you need them.

Topic: Value Proposition Design Workshop

The Value Proposition Design canvas helps to address one of the most common reasons that startups are failing, which is solving a problem that customers don't care about. The Value Proposition Canvas helps to solve this challenge. Whether your value proposition is a technological invention, a functional improvement or a new kind of service, the canvas will help you make it innovative and compelling for your customers.

In this intensive 2 hour 'organised mentoring' session, you will learn how to build products and services that customers want. We will explain how you can map and understand your customer segments through the customer profile. We will provide insightful examples of customer profiles and value propositions that will show you what great products and services are made of. You will learn how to design and test value propositions until they fit your customers and are embedded in business models that work. You will become familiar with the rules, common mistakes and best practices before designing, and prototype your own value proposition.

These sessions are designed to be attended as often as you need them.
